VPR+ design dehumidifiers for controlled indoor climates

VPR+ design dehumidifiers combine high-capacity condensation drying with wall-mounted installation, automatic humidity control and integrated condensate pumping. Developed for collector garages, archives, galleries, storage areas and other demanding indoor environments, they provide a permanent climate-management solution that integrates neatly into the room.

Climate management for valuable and moisture-sensitive spaces

The VPR+ series is designed for indoor environments where controlled humidity plays an important role in the storage and presentation of valuable objects. Collector vehicles, documents, exhibits, instruments and other moisture-sensitive goods can require more consistent climate management than a conventional mobile room dehumidifier is designed to provide.

Stationary installation, automatic humidity regulation and different performance classes make the VPR+ range suitable for applications extending from private collection rooms to archives, galleries and larger storage areas.

Condensation technology provides controlled moisture removal

VPR+ dehumidifiers operate on the condensation principle. Humid room air passes through the appliance, where it is cooled below its dew point and the resulting condensate is separated. The dried air is then returned to the room as part of a continuous circulation process.

An integrated hygrostat regulates operation according to the selected relative humidity level, allowing the system to respond automatically as room conditions change.

Three performance classes cover different room requirements

The VPR+ range includes different dehumidification and airflow classes for applications of varying scale. Selecting the appropriate model depends on room volume, temperature, moisture load, air circulation and the humidity level required for the stored objects or materials.

For larger spaces, airflow becomes particularly important because conditioned air needs to circulate effectively throughout the room. Dehumidification capacity and airflow should therefore be considered together when sizing the installation.

Wall-mounted installation keeps valuable floor space clear

VPR+ dehumidifiers are designed for stationary wall mounting. This creates a permanent installation without occupying usable floor area and allows the appliance to become part of the room rather than a mobile unit that needs to be positioned and moved as required.

The slim wall-mounted format is particularly useful in garages, collection rooms, galleries and storage environments where both clear floor space and an orderly appearance are important.

Integrated condensate pumping supports permanent installations

The VPR+ series incorporates a condensate pump as standard, allowing extracted water to be transported to a suitable drainage point rather than collected in a container that requires regular emptying.

This makes condensate management part of the permanent installation and provides greater flexibility where the nearest suitable drain is not directly below the appliance.

Filtration and odour control complement humidity management

Alongside dehumidification, the VPR+ concept provides additional air-treatment functions. Depending on the filter configuration, the circulating air can be filtered for dust or soot, while the integrated ionisation function can support odour neutralisation in suitable applications.

These functions are particularly relevant in collector garages, archives and storage environments where humidity, airborne particles and persistent odours can occur at the same time.

Hot-gas defrosting extends operation into cooler rooms

Automatic hot-gas defrosting allows VPR+ condensation dehumidifiers to operate effectively in cooler indoor environments. This makes the series suitable for applications such as garages, cellars and storage rooms where temperatures can remain well below those of conventional living spaces.

As with all condensation dehumidifiers, actual moisture removal varies with temperature and relative humidity. The operating conditions therefore remain an important part of model selection and system sizing.

Different finishes support discreet room integration

The visible design of a permanently installed dehumidifier matters in galleries, collection rooms and other carefully finished interiors. VPR+ units combine their technical function with a clean wall-mounted format, while standard painted and stainless-steel versions provide different options for integration into the surrounding space.

This makes the series suitable where climate-control equipment needs to remain permanently installed without giving the room the appearance of a temporary drying setup.

Choose the VPR+ system around the room and its contents

  • consider the size, temperature and typical moisture load of the room;
  • define the humidity range required for the stored objects, materials or collection;
  • compare dehumidification capacity and airflow when selecting the performance class;
  • plan the wall position to support effective air circulation throughout the room;
  • include the condensate discharge route in the installation concept;
  • select the appropriate filter configuration for the environment;
  • choose the housing finish to suit the installation and surrounding interior.
